Volunteering with PS United
Pewaukee Sussex United is a volunteer organization which requires the participation of its member’s families to help with necessary functions to run the club. We need your help; unless all families provide a minimum level of volunteer commitment to the organization, the Club simply cannot function.
Beginning with the 2013-2014, the club is instituting a volunteer fee for all families. The fee of $50 is charged once to each family, regardless of the number of players. Club members can "earn back" reimbursement of the volunteer fee by contributing time to the club. Families that provide four hours of volunteer time during the club season will be reimbursed.
PS United offers a number of ways for families to volunteer their time. One of the best ways to get involved is to be a coach, assistant coach or team parent or manager, particularly at the recreational level. If we cannot find coaches to coach we will not be able to place players to play. The Club also relies upon volunteers to help run annual Picture Days, and the annual recreational tournament held each spring.
A complete list of volunteer activities is listed here.
Soccer Supplies
Players guardians are responsible for supplying a practice ball, shin guards and cleats for each child. Game uniforms are provided by the club.
Recreational Team Formation
Per WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association) there can only be a 50 percent carryover from year to year on Recreational soccer teams for U6 through U14.
Playing Up and Playing Down
PS United Policy is that all players will be rostered within their age level. One exception to this is if a players school grade supersedes a player’s age bracket. Those instances would be reviewed by the club. In the Academy and Select Programs, however, there will be opportunities provided for players to train and play competitive matches above their age level. Please consult the Academy and Select pages for more specific information regarding these opportunities.
Pewaukee Sussex United is concerned about the conduct of all coaches and referees during games at all levels, from purely recreational to highly competitive.
We want to ensure that games are fair, positive and enjoyable experiences for all of the children and adults involved. A soccer game should be friendly and unifying - a spirited social and athletic occasion for players, coaches, referees and spectators.
In accordance with these general statements, PS United requires parents and guests of players within the club to abide by the following Code of Conduct:
By participating, parents indicate their understanding of the above statements and to conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates the standards established in the Parental Code of Conduct. Failure to follow these guidelines will lead to disciplinary procedures to include:
