Recreational soccer is open to all players from U5 to U14 for both girls and boys. Rec is for players of all skills levels; no previous soccer playing experience is required to participate and there are no evaluations or “cuts.” Rec teams are parent coached. Rec soccer is divided into two divisions, a North Division mainly made up of Sussex community participants and a South Division mainly made up of Pewaukee community participants. Combined teams may be formed to maximize opportunities for all interested players to participate in recreational soccer.
U5/U6 Division (Co-Ed)
Teams meet 2 times during the week for an hour each. a 3 v 3 format is played. There is no goal keeper. Ball size #3 is used. This program is designed for the child who has not played on a team before. The rules of the game are introduced. Fundamentals of the games such as dribbling, passing and kicking are presented. Parent involvement is highly recommended since kids at this age may need some encouragement and motivation. This program is run by a U5/U6 START Coordinator with the assistance of volunteer parent coaches.
U7 Division (Co-Ed)
Teams practice two days a week for an hour. The practice day and time is determined by the coach. Games will typically be played on Saturdays; occasionally a game may be played on a weekday night or Sunday. Games are against other teams within the club. The 4 v 4 format is played with no goal keeper. Game time is 4 – 12 minute quarters. Ball size #3 is used.

Games will typically be played on Saturdays; occasionally a game may be played on a weekday night or Sunday. Games are against other teams within the club. Teams practice two days per week for an hour to an hour and one-half. The practice day and time is determined by the coach. Games are typically played on Saturdays; occasionally a game may be played on a weekday night or Sunday. Games are played with other teams in the Waukesha area with limited travel in the local Waukesha area. The 6 v 6 format is played; there are 5 players on the field and a goalkeeper. Game time is two 25-minute halves. Offside is not called. Ball size #4 is used.

U14 (Separate Boys & Girls) Teams are a merged age level made up of both U13 and U14 players. They practice twice a week for one and one-half hours.
