Select soccer is competitive soccer; teams may travel beyond southeast Wisconsin for both regular games and for tournament play. Teams are formed based on skill set by having formal tryouts and players are placed on teams based on skill level. Some players who try out for Select soccer may be cut. Playing time for Select soccer is NOT guaranteed. Select soccer generally has paid coaches who have played the game and are licensed for competitive soccer.
Pewaukee Sussex United fields Select teams from U11 through U18 and at many age levels has multiple teams. Tryouts occur in the early summer with team placements announced very shortly thereafter. Teams begin play at the beginning of August and play through late October, and resume in mid-April through mid-June.
